about us

Welcome to our place.

Founded in 1997, Crazyweed began as a small mountain market stocked with fresh, global ingredients and just two stools.

Fast forward to today, and we’ve blossomed into a bustling, contemporary spot off Railway Ave in Canmore. For nearly three decades, we’ve proudly remained one of the few family-owned and operated restaurants in the Bow Valley.

"During a heated debate over our name, we turned to the Audubon Book of Mountain Wildflowers for guidance. We opened it up, and there it was: Crazyweed. It was perfect! It captured everything we wanted to represent—convivial, eclectic, fun, the refusal to be boxed in, and our heartfelt desire to bring something new and irresistibly delicious to the table."

Culinary Philosophy

We don’t believe in sticking to one genre of food—there’s just too much good stuff out there! We keep our menu fresh by rotating flavors seasonally and sourcing locally wherever we can.

Convivial, eclectic, fun—these aren’t just words to us, they’re the heartbeat of Crazyweed. We’re here to surprise you, make you laugh, and create moments that stick. No rules, no boundaries—just fresh, bold flavors and a good time, every time.

We don’t want to brag, but….
